You can’t buy an iPhone 3g without a two-year contract. This is because so many people unlocked it in the past two years. Apple is now making customers activate them in the store to prevent this problem. if you want it for the price of 199 US 8G or 299US 16G They Have not the announced the full price for iphone 3G that is not on a contract but it will probably be reasonably high because they really want people to go with the 2 year contract However, I think they might allow shipping (not on July 11th), but when they do start shipping them maybe you can order one? And if they do, I’m assuming it will be the same $400-$600 range.
