my iphone 3g stuck on apple logo screen. It locked up in itunes, now It wont do anything. I held down the iphone 3g sleep and home button to reset, but it still stuck and did not work.

after tried some restore methods, it seemed to be caused by a crash on the app store for me. I freaked out a little too, because iTunes was beachballing when I plugged it in, so I couldn’t even get to the restore button under the iphone screen.

if you have same problem with iphone 3g stuck on apple screen logo, it turns out you can make the phone enter a full software restore mode, it will solve it.

Plug your iPhone 3g to the usb and then press and hold the power and the home button at the same time, it will reboot but keep on pressing it next time it will boot,(let it boot twice while holding) an itune logo will appear and now you can restore, try it it works.

I have just restored the firmware etc now, which got my phone up and running again with factory settings, and now I am in the process of restoring from a backup . it seems to be working, but it takes a long time. if you have the same problems ,try it.
