How to make PlayStation ROMs
Nov 12th, 2008, under playstation |How to make PlayStation ROMs? how do you get them from the disc to play in an emulator? Can I just copy and paste the stuff from the disc or do I need some sort of program?
I know from browsing a few sites that ISO’s play, but what the crap is an ISO and how would I make one from the original PlayStation disc?
Some emulators emulate the game right from the disc. But you can always use mounting softwares of some tools out there which convert a disk into an iso. I am sure the emulator will load an iso atleast.
ISO - As with any other archive, an ISO image includes all the data of files contained on the archived CD/DVD.
Its basically an image or “mirror” of you CD/DVD as a single file , ie. your DVD can be made a single file-image , making it an ISO.
To make one , you insert the PS1 disc , download MagicISO , run it and make an ISO from the disc.
You can then run it from the emulator.
