Using my o2 Iphone in the USA

Hey guys.

I’m curious. If I have DATA ROAMING - OFF, will I be able to access local hotel wifi in the USA on my iphone without incurring any charges onto my contract?

I just want my iphone to access the web in hotels, possibly receive texts, photos and music. but don’t want to pay for having it randomly checking emails :P

Data roaming means you will not use network data (will be very expensive).

WiFi is different that will function still. WiFi just allows you to acces the web, if it fails and your phone has data roaming off your phone will pop up with an error telling you something about edge not being activated.
